So Much GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Stuff It Barely All Fit Into One Post

It’s no secret that I’m desperately looking forward to Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. It might be my most-anticipated movie of the year. There’s all kinds of cool GotG things happening very soon, but in advance of that we’ve got some stuff to show you now.

First the big news. It looks like the trailer should be hitting next week according to i09. But if you’re impatient and that’s just to long to wait to see everyone’s favorite super-violent raccoon in action, check out this bit of test footage that’ll give you a taste of what to expect.

ku-xlargeI can’t even tell you how many times I’ve watched that.

Next up we’ve got toys. Toy Fair is this weekend, and in advance of that both Hasbro and Lego have released images of some of their Guardians products.

Hasbro’s got a line of 6″ Marvel Legends figures coming up. You can expect them to priced the same as and probably as easy to find as the new Captain America and Spider-Man waves currently “in stores.” There are two more figures waiting to be revealed, and yes, Groot will be a Build-A-Figure.

No word yet on if they’ll have any 3 3/4″ figures to fit with the ones they’ve been making for years, or how many points of articulation those figures might have.

Awesomely, Lego’s got three sets coming for the new film, the first of which is “The Milano Spaceship Rescue” and in addition to, obviously, the Guardians’ spaceship, the Milano, it comes with minifigs of Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Ronan the Accuser and a Sakaaran Soldier. The 665 piece set will cost about $75.

We should see the other two sets (and the Rocket Raccoon and Groot minifigs) at Toy Fair. Should be very cool.
