Noel Clarke Joins The Cast Of STAR TREK 2

Noel Clarke is best known to sci-fi fans as Doctor Who‘s Mickey Smith, aka Mickey the idiot, however since leaving that show he’s gone on to become a much-respected actor/writer/director in the UK with his films like Kidulthood and its sequel Adulthood among others. But now it seems the lure of space travel is too strong and Clarke is returning to his science-fiction past by joining the cast of J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek 2.

According to Variety, while specifics are still closely guarded, Clarke “will play a family man with a wife and young daughter.” Countdown to fan speculation regarding a flashback to Uhura’s childhood… 3, 2, 1.
