While Simon Pegg and Nick Frost have worked together numerous times, all the way back to Big Train and Spaced, their most iconic pairing is arguably Shaun and Ed from the zombie comedy Shaun of the Dead. Now they’re going to reprise those roles in perhaps the last place you’d expect.
Pegg and Frost will be playing their unlikely zombie hunters again in… Phineas and Ferb.
The pair will appear in the upcoming Halloween episode, as announced by Simon Pegg, via Twitter.

If we’re being honest though, this is really only unlikely if you’re not familiar with the show, beyond it being a cartoon on the Disney Channel. Phineas and Ferb is consistently one of the cleverest shows on television, animated or otherwise. Their themed specials are a thing to behold. You really owe it to yourself to watch the recent Star Wars special. It’s simply incredible, and has two characters voiced by Simon Pegg. The Marvel one, while still great, isn’t quite as good.
So, the takeaway from all of this: Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are playing Shaun and Ed again on the Halloween episode of great show that pulls out all the stops for their specials.
