Coming up a mere two weeks from today is The Steampunk World’s Fair, the largest steampunk convention in the world. So big in fact, it’s taking up two hotels.
You can expect to find sideshow performers, burlesque dancers, musicians, people speaking about Victorian history (both real and steamified), venders and of course goggles. So many goggles.

Tickets to this shiny shindig are only $60, but if you pay a little more you can get into some special events like a tea party or an absinthe tasting with Voltaire (the musician, not the 18th century French poet – obviously).
And where is this celebration of the old held you ask, oddly enough in New Jersey. Because of course it is.
So if you can get to Piscataway the weekend of May 18-20th, why not strap on your goggles and your ray gun? And if you see us, come up and say something. It’s always good to meet our readers.
