This week’s FFF entry is a little different. It’s not a bunch of friends (or the guy from True Blood) getting together to pretend to be superheroes. It’s a trailer edited from clips of other films. And while the trailer isn’t for a Marvel or DC comic, it most certainly is a comic book movie.
The Cockroach Strikes is the would-be film based on friend of the site Jared Axelrod’s webcomic Ask Comrade Cockroach. It’s cobbled together using bits of all kinds of movies, perhaps most notable being a film called The Big Bang with Robert Malliet of Sherlock Holmes and Pacific Rim (Axelrod’s dreamcast for the character).
The trailer was made to promote Axelrod’s Kickstarter for a Comrade Comroach ebook. If you like things that are fun, you should check it out.
